What you can expect in this role

• You are part of engineering culture that emphasizes Clean Code, Test-Driven-Development (TDD) and continuous refactoring
• You contribute to creating large software systems that are extendible and you apply Domain-Driven-Design (DDD), Clean Architecture and various Object-Oriented Enterprise Design Patterns to keep code modular and readable
• You interact directly with end-users and deliver solutions to their business problems from start to finish: requirements, coding, testing, releasing, monitoring and prod operations - “You build it, you run it, you own it”
• A mostly Back-End role, with some Front-End work (5-20% time) based on requirements
• Our tech stack: Java 17+, Spring Framework, JUnit, Mockito, AWS, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS ECS, GitLabCI, maven, Terraform, DataDog, React.js, Node.js, Jest, Playwright

Your essential experience and education

• You have 5+ years of experience designing and developing large software applications
• Must-haves: Java; Spring Framework (or Quarkus); AWS (or another similar cloud solution)
• Nice-to-haves: Docker; DynamoDB; SQS/SNS; Lambda; React (or other similar web framework); Node.js; JavaScript
• You have profound experience in building production-quality software in teams and are able to autonomously tackle complex problems
• Ability to architect cloud systems and their required systems and services
• Fluent in English (Portuguese and/or German language proficiency is a plus)
• Experience and knowledge in Agile methodologies
