The following Privacy Notice applies to the job portal at jobs.prosiebensat1.com, the ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE's integrated talent pool and the careers page at careers.prosiebensat1.com (hereinafter also referred to as the "online recruitment site").

We understand that the success of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE's electronic application site (hereinafter referred to as the "job portal") and its integrated candidate management system for talent acquisition (hereinafter referred to as the "talent pool") depends on your feeling that you can trust us to handle your data correctly. Your data will be processed exclusively in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.

1. Data controller

The data controller for the job portal and the talent pool is ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, Medienallee 7 in 85774 Unterföhring (hereinafter also referred to as "we" or "us"), which acts for itself and for the following companies of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE (hereinafter referred to as the "Group companies"). ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE's Group companies are listed in the section Group companies aufgeführt.

You may withdraw your consent with prospective effect. You may withdraw your consent in your candidate profile. If you do so, you will be considered to have withdrawn your application and your personal data will be anonymized.

2. Collection, processing and use of personal data

2.1 General

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g. name, address, telephone number, date of birth, e-mail address or curriculum vitae).

In principle, you can use our online recruitment site without providing any personal data, for example, to see if the job portal has any vacancies. However, the use of certain services may require you to provide personal data, e.g. if you apply online or use the talent pool. Mandatory information is regularly marked with an *.

2.2 Purposes of processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes and upon the legal bases specified:

  • To support this online recruitment site's functions, which include, but are not limited to
  • showing you job openings at Group companies;
  • showing you information about the application process;
  • enabling you to apply for a job online;
  • providing a candidate management system for talent acquisition (talent pool);
    (Legal basis: Contract performance).
  • To send job alerts via e-mail to subscribers
    (Legal basis: Consent).
  • In addition, in relation to the talent pool, to:
  • send information regarding job openings in specific departments of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE and of Group companies.

2.3 Processing of application data

We will only use the application data that you provide to us via the job portal for the recruitment process, i.e. for the purpose of storing, evaluating and sorting your application, and for forwarding it to other Group members and contacting you. Your application data will be accessible during the recruitment process to the relevant HR managers, members of the works council and representatives of the severely disabled at ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE and at the Group companies. The data will also be made available to the senior executives of the respective department of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE and/or the respective Group company that is seeking to fill a vacancy. Your application data will not be passed on to third parties outside the ProSiebenSat.1 Group.

Once you have entered your application data, uploaded your CV, certificates and other documents, and clicked on the "Send application" button, your application data will be transmitted to a server in Europe via an encrypted connection and stored there; such server will be hosted and administered by a service provider engaged by us.

DProSiebenSat.1 Media SE will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your application is handled carefully and in its entirety. For this, we require that the data that you provide be truthful, up-to-date and complete. We therefore ask that you notify us immediately should there be any changes to the data. 2.4. Upload your documents

We provide you with the opportunity to upload your documents from your computer or mobile device. Alternatively, you can use an online storage system, e.g. DropBox, Google Drive or One Drive. Please take note of the respective Terms of Use and Privacy Policies of these providers.

2.4 Talent Pool

The talent pool is a candidate management system focused on talent acquisition. It is intended to enable ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE to maintain contact with talented individuals and, where appropriate, to recruit them for future employment with ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE or one of its Group companies. Participants in the talent pool will receive special and individualized job offers from ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE and Group companies by e-mail.

We will retain the personal data in your application for six months. Thirty days before the automatic anonymization process occurs, you will receive an e-mail giving you the option to consent to an extension of the retention period so that you can continue to receive special and individualized job offers. If you consent, your data will remain stored in the talent pool for a further six months. In all other respects, the provisions of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group's Retention and Deletion Policy, as amended from time to time, apply.

2.5 Disclosure of data to third parties; service providers

2.5.1 Disclosure of data to third parties

We will only disclose your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of the contract, if we or they have a legitimate interest in the disclosure or if you have consented to it. Where data are transferred to a third party on the basis of a legitimate interest, this is explained in this Privacy Notice.

In addition, data may be transferred to third parties if we are required to do so by law or by enforceable judicial or regulatory order.

2.5.2 Service providers

We reserve the right to use service providers when collecting or processing data. Service providers only receive the personal data from us that they require for carrying out their specific activities. For example, your e-mail address may be passed on to a service provider so that it can deliver a newsletter that you have ordered. Service providers can also be contracted to provide server capacity. As a general rule, service providers are employed as "data processors" and they are only permitted to process the personal data of the users of this online recruitment site in accordance with our instructions.

2.6 Transfer of data to non-EEA Countries

We also transfer personal data to third parties or more specifically data processors located in non-EEA countries. However, before we transfer any data, we ensure either that the recipient has an adequate level of data protection (e.g. based on an adequacy decision by the EU Commission for the respective country or a contract with the recipient that includes standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Union) or that we have obtained sufficient consent from our users.

2.7 Duration of storage; retention periods

We store your data for as long as this is necessary in order for us to make our online recruitment site and the related services available or for as long as we have a legitimate interest in the continued storage of the data. In the case of the job portal, this means that we will not store your application data for more than six months after any rejection.

After the expiry of the above-mentioned deadlines, the attachments to your application will be irrevocably deleted. Your application data will be stripped of your personal data and thus no personal data that can be used to determine your identity will remain.

3. Log files

Whenever you use the internet to access a website, your browser automatically transfers certain information. We store such information in log files.

We store the log files for six weeks both so that we can investigate any malfunctions and for security reasons (e.g. to investigate attempted cyber attacks). After six weeks we delete them. Log files which have to be retained for evidentiary purposes are exempt from deletion. They are retained until the relevant incident has been resolved and may be passed on to investigating authorities in certain cases.

The information stored in log files includes, but is not limited to the:

  • IP address (Internet protocol address) of the end device from which the online recruitment site is accessed;
  • Internet address of the website from which the online recruitment site was accessed (origin or referrer URL);
  • name of the service provider used to access our online recruitment site;
  • names of the files or information accessed;
  • date, time and duration of the access;
  • volume of data transmitted;
  • operating system and information about the Internet browser used, including installed add-ons (e.g. for Flash Player);
  • http status code (e.g. "request successful" or "requested file not found").

4. Cookies

This online recruitment site uses cookies and similar technologies (hereinafter collectively referred to as "cookies").

Cookies are small text files that are sent to users when they visit a website and are stored in their browser. 5. Web analytics

We need statistical information about the use of our online recruitment site in order to make it more user-friendly, to measure its reach and to conduct market research. We use analytical tools for these purposes. The usage profiles, which the tools create with the help of functional cookies and by evaluating the log files, are not combined with personal data. The tools either do not use users' IP addresses at all or they truncate them immediately after collecting them.
