We are anticipating the upcoming opening of a Senior ServiceNow Engineer position within our local tech team in Portugal. 

In this role, you will play a crucial role in the management of state of the art corporate solutions for more than 4,000 end users. The ServiceNow team consolidates requirements from the business departments and together with you, we drive the further development of the platform (which is the biggest corporate solution we use) to deliver highly-automated services for our internal users. 

As an engineer, you are experienced in the design of workflows and scripts as well as the configuration of ServiceNow applications. As part of the ServiceNow platform team, you will design standard-oriented low-code solutions and build release-proof development concepts with us.

What you can expect in this role

• You develop the appropriate technical solutions based on business requirements, always with the aim of standardization and according to best practices.

• You are responsible for the (re)configuration and development of existing and new workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI guidelines, notifications, and components for the integration of peripheral systems (LDAP, SSO, REST, SOAP etc.)

• As a creative initiator, you develop your own optimization proposals to support the business departments in their daily work and proactively support projects to ensure system stability, performance and compliance

• You can expect a motivated team that strives to continuously expand and improve the usage of ServiceNow in our company

Your essential experience and education

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the ServiceNow development environment and have gained in-depth knowledge of architecture and configuration (especially for ITSM / SRM and ideally HRSD and/or CMDB) during this time (ServiceNow certifications are an advantage)

• Must-have experience with JavaScript, XML and REST / SOAP

• Nice-to-haves include HTML / CSS

• You are driven by independent work and curiosity, as well as the ability to work in a team

• You enjoy understanding the technical processes in order to implement them in the best possible way on the IT side, e.g. ITIL methodology as a plus

• Fluent in English (Portuguese and/or German language proficiency is a plus)
