Future Opportunity - BI Engineer (m/f/d)

We are anticipating the upcoming opening of a BI Engineer position within our local tech team in Portugal.  

In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming our data landscape using current technologies and modern methodologies. You will collaborate closely with our German teams, embracing DevOps principles to take ownership of the product from requirements engineering to operations. We hold ourselves to high standards in CI/CD and testing, integrating best practices from traditional software development into our data warehousing context.

What you can expect in this role

  • Ensure business intelligence end-to-end solutions, as, from data lake to report, in an agile working environment;
  • Help our business users efficiently use our BI products by creating frontends and data interfaces that suit their needs (from self-service analytics to pixel-perfect standard reporting);
  • Support the setup of business-related key performance indicators, from requirements engineering to their presentation in a frontend;
  • Build up the development process, such as, by improving the Continuous Integration approach or the testing strategy.

Your essential experience and education

  • Degree in information technology, computer science or a related field;
  • +3y of experience in the development of business intelligence and reporting with Tableau;
  • Great experience with SQL and dashboarding design (e.g. Success Rules and/or Hichert);
  • Knowledge of Data Vault Methodology, Data warehousing (AWS), CI/CD (Git Lab), Snowflake and/ or Python (plus);         
  • Experience with agile methodology (Scrum) is highly appreciated;
  • Fluent in English (proficiency in Portuguese and/ or German is a plus).
