As a Full-Stack-Developer – Data Applications in our Tech Hub in Portugal, you hold a dual position in one of our data product development teams, where you will on the one hand take ownership of maintaining and enhancing an existing data-driven webapp, while on the other hand broadening your knowledge around big data. In this role you can embrace the challenge of deploying your expertise in application and frontend development within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, while at the same time learning from an experienced team of data scientist and data engineers all the fundamentals to kick-start your career in the field of data.

What you can expect in this role

• Develop and maintain state-of-the-art web applications and high-quality components within an agile team of tech talents
• Design and develop the front- and backend of applications delivering a seamless interaction with machine learning models
• Embark on a learning journey to understand how to build scalable and reliable big data pipelines using distributed computing
• Grow your understanding of the development of data-driven solutions and work with state-of-the art technology on a daily basis
• Be an integral part of one of our experienced data team and benefit from their support to foster your personal growth while at the same time acting as mentor to them on webapp development

Your essential experience and education

• University degree (B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in information technology, computer science, optimally with a data focused master’s degree
• 2 years of experience with typical UI tech stacks including Angular 11 (or greater), Typerscript, Highcharts, Node.js, npm, JWT, HTML, CSS/ SCSS
• Proven experience working with cloud-based applications in AWS using services such as Cognito, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, EMR or Athena and no SQL databases such as MongoDB
• A keen interest data engineering (e.g., PySpark, AWS EMR, Databricks), as well as fundamental knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., bash) and CI/CD (e.g., Gitlab, AWS CodePipeline)
• Enjoy working in an agile team setup while showcasing an exceptional willingness to learn
• Fluent in English (Portuguese and/ or German language proficiency is a plus)
