Our Accounting team is looking to hire a Senior General Ledger Accountant who will be overseeing the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close processes. If your skill-set matches the below criteria, then we’d love to hear from you!

What you can expect in this role

• Maintain and regularly update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entries and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

Your essential experience and education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Previous experience (at least several years) in accounting, with a focus on general ledger
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel and VAT
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Fluency in German and English - with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have: 

• Ideally, we would like to hire a “Bilanzbuchhalter” with IHK degree
