For our new Media Manager team we are looking for a Data Engineer (f/m/d) , who has strong experience with building real-time data pipelines with Spark (and Spark Streaming) and is proficient in either Python or Java, Kafka, and K8s.

What you can expect in this role

• You are going to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve a system consisting of multiple Java services
• You are called to design new software components, systems, and features in a cross-functional team and stakeholders
• You are going to build, automate, maintain, document, scale, and monitor customer-facing systems, bearing reliability and scalability in mind.
• You will work in self-organized teams with agile processes and closely with the Product Owners

Your essential experience and education

• Strong experience with designing, building, implementing, and maintaining large realtime data pipelines with spark streaming.
• Must have significant experience with concepts, such as data consistency and throughput
• Solid Python and/or Java experience
• Familiarity with designing and deploying of data jobs
• Exposure to managing and monitoring service infrastructure and deployments
• Experience with several parts of our tech stack: 
  • Kafka, Percona, Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Spark, Spark streaming, PostgreSQL, Pinot, Camel 
  • Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Jenkins, Tekton, Prometheus, Grafana
• Strong communication and team player skills
