As an Associate BI Engineer in our Tech Hub in Portugal, you will unlock the power of data to enhance the data environment at ProSiebenSat.1 Group. Be part of the team that manages over 25 products supporting various facets of our media company. You will collaborate closely and dynamically with our German teams, embracing DevOps principles. Engage in the complete product lifecycle, from requirements engineering to operations in this role.

What you can expect in this role

• Contribute to end-to-end business intelligence solutions, working in an agile environment, covering everything from the Data Lake to the Data Mart
• Assist in automating the data warehouse using tools like Data Vault Builder and integrate data from various sources into a company-wide Data Vault model
• Aid in setting up key performance indicators (KPIs) for business-related metrics, from gathering requirements to implementation
• Support business users in effectively utilizing our BI products by creating user-friendly frontends and data interfaces (from self-service analytics to pixel-perfect standard reporting)
• Contribute to the development of the data warehouse process, such as enhancing the Continuous Integration approach or refining the testing strategy

Your essential experience and education

• University degree (B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in information technology, computer science or a related field
• First practical experience in the development of data warehouses in the Cloud (ideally with DWH automation) and mastery of the tech stack (with applications such as AWS, Snowflake, Data Vault Builder, Airflow and GitLab)
• Familiarity with data modeling methods, agile software development, and continuous integration, ideally with practical experience in their application
• Ideally previous hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: AWS, Snowflake, Data Vault Builder, Tableau, Airflow, or GitLab
• Solution-oriented and proactive, driven by an intrinsic motivation to uphold high-quality code and architecture standards
• Fluent in English (proficiency in Portuguese and/or German is a plus)
