As a BI Engineer in our Tech Hub in Portugal, you will be an integral part of our local tech team, shaping the data landscape at ProSiebenSat.1 Group with current technologies and modern approaches. You will collaborate closely and dynamically with our German teams, embracing DevOps principles. Hence you will be responsible for the product from requirements engineering to operations. We have high standards when it comes to CI/ CD as well as testing and adopt a lot of best practices from “classical” software development to our data warehousing context.

What you can expect in this role

• Ensure business intelligence end-to-end solutions, e.g., from the data lake to the data mart, in an agile working environment
• Manage the automation of the data warehouse using Data Vault Builder and integrate data from various sources into a company-wide Data Vault model
• Support the setup of business-related key performance indicators, from requirements engineering to implementation
• Help our business users efficiently use our BI products by creating frontends and data interfaces that suit their needs (from self-service analytics to pixel-perfect standard reporting)
• Build up the data warehouse development process, e.g., by improving the Continuous Integration approach or improving the testing strateg

Your essential experience and education

• University degree (B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in information technology, computer science or a related field
• Several years of expertise in the development of Data Warehouses in the Cloud (esp. DWH automation) and a proficiency in the tech stack (encompassing applications such as AWS, Snowflake, Data Vault Builder, Tableau, Airflow and GitLab)
• Profound understanding of data modeling approaches Data Vault (most important), 3NF, star or snowflake schema
• Proficiency in CI/ CD and testing in context of business intelligence/ data warehousing, coupled with a strong intrinsic drive for maintaining a high-quality approach
• Experience to agile collaboration, particularly in the context of business intelligence/ data warehousing, especially with SRUM
• Fluent in English (proficiency in Portuguese and/ or German is a plus)
