Introduction Sentence

We are looking for a passionate Android developer who will join us to build the best video streaming platform that users use daily. You will have an overall responsibility for developing a high-quality product to satisfy our customers' needs and to continuously improve our engineering process, tooling and ways of working across multiple teams. We currently work with Kotlin, however, we value the ability to adapt with changing technology.

In this position, you work within our hybrid model “Highly Remote”. You can work mostly remote within Germany. You can find all information here.
The contractually agreed place of work will be Unterföhring near Munich or Berlin. Possible travel costs to the place of work will not be reimbursed.

What you can expect in this role

• You help to build an awesome video streaming application for Android phones and tablets for millions of customers across multiple countries
• Therefore, you work closely with our Product, UX and Tech departments to architect new features, improve existing implementations and continuously identify as well as resolve technical debt, quality issues and gaps in engineering processes
• You work on a modern tech stack consisting of Kotlin, AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines & Flow, RxJava2, GraphQL, Hilt, Gradle, GitLab and more
• You demonstrate your quality-oriented thinking by writing both unit tests and instrumented tests to cover your changes to the code base
• Also, you advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices

Your essential experience and education

• You have profound and proven expertise in crafting apps for the Android native platform with Kotlin, Coroutines or even Jetpack Compose 
• You are proactive, motivated to learn new things and hold yourself accountable for results 
• Also, you have demonstrated that you take a pragmatic approach to solving problems and seek to reduce complexity to help teams to deliver 
• You are a good listener, but also argue for the case when needed 
• You are used to strive continuously improving the overall quality by writing unit tests as well as UI-tests with libraries like Mockito, MockK and Espresso
