For our New Media Manager team we are looking for a Senior Java Developer (f/m/d), who has several years of Java experience along with Spring, JPA, Hibernate, and Kafka. You are going to build high-performance, low latency, highly scalable recommendation systems on the cloud.

What you can expect in this role

• You are going to be working in an agile process, in a self-organized, cross-functional team (without a team lead)
• You are going to collaborate closely with the product owner and contributing to shaping the product
• You enjoy taking ownership for the design, development and maintenance of features
• You are interested in software architecture (layered architecture, Domain Driven Design), including documenting architecture, features, and processes
• You are going to optimize developer/SCRUM workflows and processes

Your experience and education

Required skills:

• Strong professional Java 8+ experience
• Professional experience with Spring, JPA, Hibernate
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code
• Strong communicator (presenting ideas, communicating with partners)
• Team player

Desired technologies (Nice-to-Have):

• Kafka, Aerospike, Elasticsearch, JUnit, Cucumber
• Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Jenkins, Tekton, Prometheus, Grafana

Desired technical experience:

• Familiarity with modelling complex object structures
• Experience in designing REST APIs
• Exposure to designing performant microservice architectures
• Experience with high performance, concurrency leveraging applications Experience with DevOps (and willingness to do light DevOps)
